Restaurant Review

It’s very well documented that just about every cafe, bar and restaurant establishment in Malton, North Yorkshire, is  dog welcoming and very friendly . Bella, Pam and I Decided we would put it to the test. So on Wednesday 17th April 2019 on a pleasant warm spring evening we took a ride out and went for a meal in an extremely nice restaurant called the "New Malton Ale House".

Situated right within the heart of the market square it is an old established bistro style Ale House that is located right on a corner, overlooking the square.

We couldn’t have been happier or more impressed, from the moment we entered, we were made to feel welcome, and so was Bella. After being taken too our seats, we were offered a bowl of water and biscuits for Bella then presented with two lovely Menus Although it was a mid week night it was still busy and it's clearly a very popular spot.

I chose the succulent king prawns in a garlic oil, served on a slice of crusty bread.

Pam chose the Pea soup with delightful toasted pea fritters. Bella, sat patiently on the floor waiting and begging for her bite-size biscuits.

To drink we had a tasty tray of 3/3 of a pints consisting of a stout, a bitter and a pale ale. All were 3 were delicious.

For the main course I chose a steak burger served with a pink coleslaw and refried hand cut chips not to big and very very tasty.

Pam chose a smoked Mackerel and grapefruit salad, which, I must say I had incredible food envy.

Bella was very happy she had plenty of petting and cuddles and was even asked if she wanted more biscuits from the staff. The service was quick attentive and informative. I would definitely recommend it.

Above all. What we really was very impressed by was  the reasonable prices,  especially as,  since we found out on departure of the building,  that it is a Michelin star rated restaurant. Needless to say we will be returning again in the near future five stars to everyone who works there. New Malton Ale House.  Menu
